Things to know - Students

  • After creating an account:

    You can book teachers for private tutoring, subscribe education videos and purchase learning resources. All education videos and learning resources are not refundable (whether free or paid).

  • Attending to online private tutoring:

    1. Get started by clicking “Find a teacher” on the menu. Then browse all available teachers in your subject/category until you find the suitable one. Next book the lesson at the time you prefer. Note: Before you book, you can contact the teacher by using the instant messaging feature to discuss any specific learning needs or ask about questions. Private tutoring lessons would not start until teacher “reviews and approves” the booking.

      Once teacher approves your booking, click to start the session 10 minutes before the agreed time. Go to “my courses” to find your session and click to start. A zoom meeting will automatically start from your desktop screen.

    2. Use “request a private teacher” function if you cannot find a suitable teacher in your subject. Your posting would then appear to all teachers and you would start getting replies from interested teachers.

    3. For urgent academic matters, you can request private tutoring by using the same “request a private teacher” function.

    4. LyveClass is not in the position to deal with any problems regarding the quality of the instruction and is also not held responsible for any matters in this regard. Please raise your concern and solve the issue directly with your teacher.

    5. If student finds the quality of instruction is below standard, not as promised or encounters issues that are irreconcilable with the teachers and wishes to discontinue the lessons, those who pay for the online lesson fee via LyveClass payment processing channel may qualify for a refund. Refund is for remaining lessons only

  • For local/in-person classes:

    1. LyveClass is not in the position to deal with any problems regarding the quality of the instruction and is also not held responsible for any matters in this regard. Please raise your concern and solve the issue directly with your teacher.

    2. If student finds the quality of instruction is below standard, not as promised or encounters issues that are irreconcilable with the teachers and wishes to discontinue the lessons, those who pay for the online lesson fee via LyveClass payment processing channel may qualify for a refund. Refund is for remaining lessons only.
